General

On The Day is a work platform that connects businesses with verified temporary workers. Whether you need staff for an event, hospitality, warehouse work, or other temporary positions, our app makes it easy to find and hire qualified workers quickly. It’s already live in private testing and we’re now opening up early access before a wider rollout.
The app is free to download for both workers and employers. Workers can use the platform at no cost. Employers use Job Tokens for completed bookings – no percentage is taken from worker wages, and there are no mandatory subscriptions. During early access, this model is the same as what we’ll use for wider rollout.
On The Day is currently running in private testing in the United Kingdom. Public rollout will start in the UK and then expand to other countries. Our goal is to make this a global platform for flexible work. Join the early access list on our website and we’ll email you when we open in your region.

For Workers

Right now the best way is to join the early access list on our website. As we invite more people into the app, you’ll download it, create an account, select “I’m a Worker”, verify your identity, add your skills and experience, and set your availability. Once verified, you can start accepting jobs.
Payments are processed through our secure escrow system. When an employer books you, the payment is held in escrow. Once the job is completed and confirmed, the funds are released to your wallet. You can withdraw to your bank account at any time.
We require ID verification for all workers. This includes providing a government-issued ID (passport or driving licence). Some employers may also require background checks for certain roles. Completing more verification steps helps you get more job offers.
Yes! You set your own hourly or daily rates in your profile. Employers can see your rates when viewing your profile. Competitive rates based on your experience and the local market will help you get more bookings.
We understand things come up. You can cancel bookings through the app, but please do so as early as possible. Frequent last-minute cancellations may affect your rating and ability to receive future bookings.

For Employers

You can post a job in under 2 minutes and start receiving applications immediately. Depending on your location and requirements, you may have workers available within hours. Many bookings are confirmed same-day.
Yes, all workers on our platform go through ID verification. You can see each worker's verification badges on their profile. For roles requiring additional security, workers with background checks are clearly marked.
Employers use Job Tokens. When you confirm a booking, 1 Job Token per worker is locked. If the shift is cancelled or doesn’t go ahead, the token is released. If the job is completed, the token is consumed. There are no percentage fees on wages. See our pricing page for details.
Yes! If you find a great worker, you can recruit them permanently through our platform. A placement fee applies, calculated based on the agreed salary. Both you and the worker must agree to the permanent arrangement.
While rare, if a worker fails to show without notice, you won't be charged. Please report the no-show through the app. We take this seriously and may suspend workers who repeatedly fail to honour bookings.

Payments

When an employer books a worker, the payment amount is held securely in escrow. This protects both parties - the worker knows funds are available, and the employer only releases payment when satisfied with the work. Once both confirm completion, funds are released to the worker.
We accept all major credit and debit cards. Employers can save multiple cards for easy payments. Workers can withdraw to any UK bank account.
Withdrawals to UK bank accounts typically arrive within 1-3 business days. The exact timing depends on your bank. We process withdrawal requests daily.

If you have a dispute with a worker or employer, please contact our support team through the app. We'll review the situation and work to resolve it fairly. Our escrow system helps protect both parties during disputes.
